Miss Patel. Is a very kind & very skilled lady . As we’re all her staff. I was admitted with a badly infected gallbladder. Within 7 hrs of A&e admission. Miss Patel had removed it & had me on the road to recovery . Can not thank her enough & and all the staff on Furness general day ward.

Miss Patel was very reassuring and put me at ease.She answer any / all questions very simply.Her reassuring manner the morning of the operation was so commendable .I would say this is one FGH best doctors I have ever spoken too .A massive thank you from me.

Having had previous colonoscopy where not enough sedation was given and the staff lacked empathy and kindness Miss Patel was very sympathetic, gave me maximum sedation that I’d asked for and listened to me. This made the whole experience much less stressful and less frightening All the staff in the unit were amazing and just couldn’t do enough to look after me and when I have to return I will hopefully have this high quality of care and be able to request the same doctor Thank you

Since being diagnosed with bowel cancer and being referred to Miss Patel I cannot praise her expertise and care highly enough. In fact the key worker, Susanne Thompson, also played a huge part in my journey with this cancer. I have now had my operation and seen Miss Patel who has explained everything regarding the operation and the results which have been successful so far. The whole experience, although not one I would have wished for, has been very professionally handled and I couldn't have been in better hands. I wish to say a huge thankyou to all those involved in my care at Furness General Hospital.
